(Unila): Two professors from the University of Zagreb, Croatia, delivered a guest lecture at the Department of International Relations with the theme “Security Dynamics in Europe”.

This was an attempt to follow up the collaboration between the Department of International Relations, the University of Lampung (Unila) and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb.

The University of Zagreb, the largest university in Croatia and the oldest university in Europe, sent two distinguished lecturers, Prof. Đana Luša and Prof. Ružica Jakešević to guest lecture at Unila.

The guest lecture was aimed as an effort to exchange knowledge between the two universities and to support main performance indicator 6 (IKU) for higher education, with respect to the collaboration with world class partners.

The Head of the Department of International Relations, Simon Sumanjoyo said that it was necessary to identify security matters in Europe as they could affect the economic problems in spite of geographically far from Southeast Asia.

On the same occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Unila, Ida Nurhaida, M.Sc., also underlined the importance of the collaboration.

This guest lecture event closed with appreciation from HI Unila students, who delivered a video of thanks to Prof. Dr. Sc. Đana Luša and Prof. Dr. Sc. Ružica Jakešević for the lessons provided over three days culminating in a guest lecture which took place on Monday, September 4 2023.

This event is regarded as a historic milestone in collaboration between universities and has enriched HI Unila students’ knowledge about security dynamics in Europe. [PR Team]
