(Unila): Mutiara Nurhaliza majoring law at the University of Lampung (Unila) was selected to represent Indonesia at the Harvard World Model United Nations (Harvard World MUN) 2024 held in Taipei, Taiwan.

Mutiara, who is a recipient of the Djarum Scholarship Plus Programme (BeswanDjarum), succeeded in beating hundreds of other applicants from all over Indonesia to take part in the Harvard WorldMUN 2024 programme. Harvard WorldMUN is a simulation of the most prestigious United Nations (UN) assembly in which more than 2,000 participants from 110 countries participate every year.

The event organised by Harvard University is known as the largest Olympiad for MUN activities at the international level. Djarum Foundation sent a delegation of 10 Beswan Djarum to Harvard WorldMUN 2024selected from all over Indonesia.

She was very glad to get informed about the selected students to participate in the Harvard World Model United Nations, a UN Council simulation event attended by some 2,000 students from 110 countries. The Djarum Foundation provided the participants with facilities from airfare to lodging during the event in Taipei.

Before leaving for Taiwan, Mutiara and other Djarum Foundation delegates had completed 7 weeks of intensive training to prepare for Harvard WorldMUN on 8-16 March 2024. Through this training, Mutiara was nominated the best delegate of the international exposure program by Djarum Foundation.

Harvard WorldMUN 2024 is a golden opportunity for Mutiara to hone her skills in diplomacy, negotiation, and public speaking so that she makes a positive contribution to Indonesia in the international arena. [PR Team]
