The Visit aimed to strengthen coordination and share experiences related to planning and budget management in state universities.
The working visit was welcomed by the Coordinator of the Unila Planning Working Team, Susanto, S.Kom., M.Si., accompanied by staff from the Unila Planning Subdivision. Also present were representatives from Itera, the Head of the Itera Academic, Planning, and General Affairs Bureau, Eko Feri Kurniawan, S.Si., M.Si., and his team.

He believes that synergy between universities is crucial for strengthening effective, transparent, and accountable institutional governance. The discussion session also covered the budget management mechanisms at Unila’s Public Service Agency (BLU), including program planning, activities, and budgets for all work units.
The Unila team explained that the budget is managed in a measured manner by considering the university’s strategic program priorities, work unit performance, and alignment with medium-term and annual planning documents.
In addition, Itera also studied the process of drafting Performance Agreements (PK) for faculties and work units at Unila.
In his presentation, he also stated that the preparation of the PK was carried out as a form of joint commitment between university leaders and work units to achieve the established performance targets, as well as an instrument for evaluating and controlling institutional performance.
The meeting also discussed the use of the Planning Management Information System (Simren) application used by Unila to support the planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation processes of programs and activities.
Through Simren, planning at Unila is carried out in an integrated, documented, and easily monitored manner by all related work units.
With this working visit, Unila and Itera hope to strengthen institutional collaboration and improve the quality of planning and budget governance at each institution, in line with their joint efforts to realize professional and sustainable higher education management. [Muzamil Kakar]
