(Unila): The University of Lampung (Unila) conducted a Field Assessment (AL) for the Reaccreditation of the Master of Regional and Urban Planning (MPWK) Postgraduate Program on Monday, February 2, 2026, in the Meeting Room of the Unila Postgraduate Building.

The field assessment was officially opened by Unila Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Lusmeilia Afriani, DEA, IPM., ASEAN Eng. The assessment was carried out by two assessors from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), namely Deva Fosterharoldas Swasto, ST, M.Sc., Ph.D., as Assessor 1 from Gadjah Mada University and Dr. Ir. Vg. Sri Rejeki, MT, as Assessor 2 from Soegijapranata Catholic University.

In her remarks, the Rector of Unila stated that field assessments are an important part of efforts to guarantee and improve the quality of higher education, which are carried out on an ongoing basis.

This activity not only aims to assess the feasibility of the study program, but also as a means of comprehensive evaluation of the governance, academic processes, resources, and performance achievements of the study program in supporting Unila’s vision.

The Rector also emphasized Unila’s commitment to implementing Unila’s eight Leading Strategic Programs known as “BE STRONG”, including Business Sector, Empowerment of Human Resources, Services for Community, Teaching, Research, Organizational Partnership, Network Infrastructure, and Good University Governance.

This strategic program serves as the foundation for strengthening academic quality, institutional governance, and Unila’s competitiveness at the national and international levels. The event also presented Unila’s accreditation achievements, with the university achieving Unggul (Excellent) accreditation by BAN-PT as of December 21, 2026.

Of the 128 study programs at Unila, 48 have been accredited with Excellent, eight with A, 44 with Very Good, 12 with B, and 16 with Good. Furthermore, Unila has also achieved international accreditation from various reputable accreditation bodies, such as RSC, ASIIN, and FIBAA.

The following presentation outlined various commitments from the leadership and the entire Unila academic community to quality assurance. This commitment is demonstrated through the active involvement of university, faculty, and postgraduate program leaders, from the preparation stage through document development to field assessments.

The university leadership also provides support in the form of a reward system for achieving national and international accreditation. Quality assurance at Unila is implemented collaboratively, involving all elements of the university, and is strengthened through consultation and mentoring with ministries, BAN-PT, LAM, and international accreditation bodies.

Synergy with Belmawa, the West BKS-PTN Quality Assurance Forum, and the state and private universities network is also ongoing to improve the quality of higher education. Efforts to strengthen quality are supported by holding workshops on the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) and Internal Quality Audit (AMI), utilizing a quality assurance information system, benchmarking activities for international accreditation management, and involving Unila lecturers in training and certification for international accreditation assessors.

Furthermore, revitalization of facilities and infrastructure is ongoing to support quality learning and academic governance. Through the Field Assessment for the Reaccreditation of the Master of Urban and Regional Planning Study Program, Unila hopes that all activities will run smoothly and effectively, providing a comprehensive overview of the institution’s and study program’s performance.

This activity demonstrates the University of Lampung’s commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of higher education, both at the study program level and at the university as a whole. [Muzamil Kakar]
