(Unila): The Rector of Lampung University (Unila), Prof. Dr. Ir. Lusmeilia Afriani, D.E.A., IPM., ASEAN Eng., officially sent off the Lampung University AKASHA Team to participate in the 2025 Indonesian Ship Contest (KKI) held at Muhammadiyah University Malang on December 3-7, 2025. The team send-off took place at the Dean’s Office Building of the Faculty of Engineering at Unila.

KKI is a national competition that brings together technological innovations in shipbuilding from various universities throughout Indonesia.

This year, the Unila AKASHA Team brought an innovation in the form of a fast ship named “Sindhunata”, which was specially designed to compete with the best works from other universities. This competition is an important opportunity for Unila students to test their abilities in designing applicable technology and to increase their competitiveness at the national level.

In his address, the Rector provided full support and a motivational message to all team members. He emphasized the importance of maintaining mental resilience, ethics, health, and the university’s reputation throughout the competition.

“Don’t forget that you must represent Unila on the national stage. May you achieve the best results,” said Prof. Lusmeilia.

This team consists of 11 Unila students led by Bagas Dwi Saputra (Team Leader) with members Gilang Lutfi Prasasta (Non-technical), M. Hakim Suhaidi (Design), Hafid Rabani (Electrical), Tegar Dheo Alvitto (Mechanical), Dimas Bambang Permadi, Rifki Kurniawan (Support Team), Muhammad, Alfarabi (Support Team), Alhafizh Fajar Akbar (Support Team), Zaidanul Erfan (Support Team), Anggi Permata Sari (Support Team), one mentor Wahyudi, and one supervising lecturer Muhammad Ifan Saputra, S.T., M.T.

Through this opportunity, there is great hope that the participation of the AKASHA Unila Team in KKI 2025 will not only yield achievements but also strengthen the culture of research and innovation within the campus environment.
