(Unila): The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of the University of Lampung (Unila) has accepted an overseas student, Sotaro from Japan. He is accepted in Management in the international class at FEB Unila.
This suggests that Unila, especially FEB is highly committed to opening its doors to overseas students from different countries. This is to transform Unila into a world-class university that is inclusive and has a global outlook. There are some requirements an overseas student needs to meet prior to being accepted as a student at Unila.
She or he is required to undergo a series of rigorous selections, both in terms of academics and administration. Only the student with outstanding academic achievements and high motivation should be accepted at FEB Unila.
Sotaro chose Unila with the considerations of the faculty’s growing reputation and high-quality of education programmes in a multicultural environment.
FEB Unila has provided students with various facilities and programmes to support international students, such as, academic guidance services, comfortable dormitories, and extracurricular activities facilitating overseas students to learn Indonesian indigenous culture so that they may feel at home which in turn will make them easily adapt their studies at Unila.
Dean of FEB Unila expressed his pride for Sotaro’s arrival. The presence of international students contribute to Unila’s reputation in international levels. This is a tangible manifestation of Unila’s efforts in creating an inclusive and diverse academic environment, hopping that international students would be cultural ambassadors to strengthen the relationship between Indonesia and their home countries.
Sotaro’s arrival also indicates the increasing interest of overseas students in education at Unila. International students are expected to give local students opportunities to learn and interact with colleagues from different countries.
This will certainly enrich their learning experience and improve their competence in facing global challenges in the future. Sotaro himself expressed his enthusiasm to start his academic journey at Unila.
“I am very happy and honoured to be part of FEB Unila. I hope to learn a lot, not only the academic affairs but also the interaction with students and lecturers. I believe this experience should be very valuable for my personal and professional development in the future,” he said.
With the presence of international students like Sotaro, FEB Unila continues to demonstrate its commitment in developing a dynamic and diverse academic environment. This achievement also strengthens Unila’s image as a university that is friendly and open to students from all over the world.
In the future, Unila is expected to continue to attract more international students and become one of the main destinations for higher education in Southeast Asia. [PR Team]
