(Unila): The University of Lampung ranks 601+ according to the 2024 Times Higher Education (THE) of Asia University Rankings and 24 out of 33 state universities in Indonesia.

The 2024 THE Asia University Rankings featured 739 universities from 31 regions across Asia. The rankings were indicated by the 18 performance indicators grouped into five areas in terms of research quality (30%), research environment (28%), teaching (24.5%), industry (10%), and international outlook (7.5%).

Hadi Prayitno, M.T., the team leader of Times Higher Education World University Rankings said that Unila achieved a better ranking having been previously classified as the reporter position for three years of participating in the prestigious ranking. Unila is highly committed to world university rankings for the sake of adapting to the trends of the current world ranking.

Unila is currently in an attempt to boost world-class rankings, THE rankings for both the World University Rankings and Asia University Rankings, updating the relevant data to THE indicators.

Since THE is also concerned with rankings for study programmes (by subject), indicating the quality level of each study programme in either the world or the Asian level, every single study programme at Unila, as Vice Rector, Dr. Ayi Ahadiat confirmed, is struggling for world-university rankings, improving the assessment indicators such as, research concerning SDGs and Scopus indexed, professional involvement as teaching staff on campus, the number of foreign students, and increasing interdisciplinary and other publications. The THE rankings have motivated Unila to have the ranking risen in the following year. [PR Team]
