(Unila): The University of Lampung (Unila) along with ten state universities (PTN) from all over Indonesia attended meetings and matchmaking with 20 leaders of universities of applied sciences (German UAS) from Germany.
Unila was represented by Dr. Ayi Ahadiat, deputy chancellor of PKTIK and Prof. IrzaSukmana, head of UPT PKLI Unila to attend the meeting taking place at the University of Indonesia on Thursday, 29 February 2024.
The purpose of the activity is to facilitate exchanges between the German institutions in attendance and to directly tell them about potential for academic cooperation between Indonesia and Germany. The exchange is to boost scholarly collaboration between the two nations in the field of teaching and research.
Internationally renowned as a research institution, German UAS maintains close ties with business and industry. The German UAS’s member institutions provide degree programs that are applicable to the workforce and frequently incorporate industry partnerships and internships.
Dr. Ayi said that Unila was able to interact with other German universities as a result of this matchmaking activity, and the university plans to host such events in the future.
Ten state universities attending this bilateral meeting included the University of Indonesia (UI), GadjahMada University (UGM), IPB University, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), SepuluhNopember Institute of Technology (ITS), Diponegoro University (Undip ), Brawijaya University (UB), Padjadjaran University, Syiah Kuala University (USK), Hasanuddin University (Unhas), and Jember University (UNEJ).
University leaders from the German UAS who attended the meeting included representatives from various institutions such as TH Aschaffenburg, Hochschule Darmstadt, Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule Jena, FH Münster, Hochschule Harz, HM HochschuleMünchen, HMKW – HochschulefürMedien, Kommunikation und Wirtschaft , Hochschule Hannover, Hochschule Heilbronn, Hochschule Kaiserslautern, Hochschule Stralsund.
