(Unila): Mahdiyyan Fadillah, the student majoring in Accounting along with his team, Aldiansah Pratama, Ahmad Fauzan Firdaus, and Isnaini, won the bronze trophy in Lombok essay competition 3.

The essay was concerned with the issue of digital transformation through the MSME ambassador program in supporting the economy at the ASEAN global level. The issue reflects Lombok district categorized into an underdeveloped region in terms of outermost, frontier, and disadvantaged.

The competition taking place at the Mount Rinjani, Faculty of Agriculture on March 9-10, 2024, was also followed by students from other universities, such as UGM, ITS, UPN Veteran Jawa Timur, Unair, UPN Yogyakarta, and Udayana.

It was intended as a resolution to cope with the prevailing problem through the utilization of Lombok MSME ambassadors as youthful influencers in the promotion of domestic goods.

In the future, the Lombok UMKM ambassadors have capability of supporting digital management efforts, including social media-based online promotions and marketing of contemporary products.

This is in compliance with the Ministry of Finance’s 2022 directive concerning the empowerment of MSMEs. The issue of the essay was also to motivate young people to be more aware of their significant role in altering country’s better economy which in turn will lead to Indonesia’s vision towards a golden generation in 2045.
