(Unila): The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), the University of Lampung (Unila) held an international guest lecturer by presenting four lecturers from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), in Hall K and Hall C FKIP Unila, Monday, January 22, 2024.

The activity is part of FKIP Unila’s internationalization efforts to broaden students’ horizons, especially for the four Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) Education Departments.

Dean of FKIP Unila Prof. Sunyono, accompanied by the head of the study program and lecturers from the chemistry education and biology education study programs took part in the International Guest Lecturer delivered by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Nor Hasniza Ibrahim and Dr. Chuzairy Hanri.

This activity was attended by students of chemistry and biology education study programs, both offline and online via the zoom meeting platform. Prof. Sunyono in his speech said that the public lecture was an effort by FKIP Unila to enrich students’ knowledge with an international perspective.

It was intended to provide students with a broader learning experience, especially in understanding new concepts in education and research in the field of Mathematics and Natural Sciences from two countries, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Both Assoc. Prof. Ts. Nor Hasniza Ibrahim and Dr. Chuzairy Hanri delivered lecture with respect to research methodology in the field of biology education research and chemistry education research respectively.

An nnternational guest lecturer was also held for lecturers and students of physics education and mathematics education study programs. The deputy dean for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, FKIP Unila, Dr. Riswandi.

Dr. Riswandi expressed his gratitude for the resource person’s willingness to participate in the international guest lecturer, hopping that lecturers and students are expected to gain insight into science from the international world, especially from UTM lecturers.

Dr. Norfarahwahidah Abdul Rahman provided material on crafting effective research designs: Methodological insights in STEM, in the research field of Physics Education and Dr. Muhammad Ikram Zakaria provided material on Research Methodology: Application of Fuzzy Delphi in Educational Research in the field of mathematics education research.

The peak of the activity was marked by the handing over of plaques from the Dean of FKIP Unila to the UTM Malaysia researchers, as souvenirs for their contribution in completing lectures as international guest lecturers. [PR Team]
