The competition was held at the Giri Nata Mandala Puspem Badung Cultural Center, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.

The two medals were awarded for folksong and mixed choir categories respectively. The former presented Pung-Pung Kelapo Kupung and Ahtoi Porosh, while the latter sang O Nata Lux and Zikr.

PSM team made intensive preparation and practice to win this festival. The choir also received support from the chief executive of the competition Nashrananda Marthayesha and PSM unila coach Erizal Barnawi.

Erizal Barnawi expressed his joy and pride for the achievements made by PSM. He said that PSM Unila had not participated in prestigious competitions such as BICF for a long time.

He also appreciated the team’s efforts to raise funds and train themselves with various methods to improve vocal quality and performance.

The head of PSM, Dona Okta Risna, expressed gratitude and happiness for the results achieved by her team. She emphasized the importance of commitment, consistency, and love for the choir as the key to success in achieving this glorious achievement.

“We feel happy and grateful for what we have achieved, although the current achievement is still not reaching the target, but the experience we get in this competition is very valuable,” said Dona.

Having achieved brilliant achievements at BICF 2023, PSM continues to take a lot of practice for folksong and mixed choir categories. The medals have motivated PSM to perform better achievement in the following competition festivals and contribute to the development of the Unila PSM.

PSM also learned a lot from the experience and learning gained from this competition, such as harmony and harmony among singers, and insights from other choir participants.

PSM needs to work harder to make better achievements in the future, winning gold medals in international choir competitions. Their fighting spirit and dedication will continue to be the driving force to achieve success in the future. [PR Team]
