(Unila): Seven professors were inaugurated through an extraordinary senate meeting at the multipurpose building of the local campus, Wednesday, May 10 2023.

They come from different backgrounds of expertise, Agricultural Engineering, Mathematics Education, Public Economics, Analytical Chemistry, Politics, Water Resources Engineering, and Anthropology.

Prof. Lusmeilia Afriani, the rector of Unila, does hope that the more number of professors Unila has the more papers they will publish and the better accreditation of the institution and departments Unila will have.

Thus Unila will control over the productivity of professors in producing their work as the consequence of increasing number of professors.

The seven professors who were inaugurated were listed below:

  1. Dr. agr. sc. Diding Suhandy, Professor of Agricultural Engineering. The scientific oration presented was entitled “Test for the Authenticity of Indonesian Specialty Ground Coffee Using Uv-Visible Spectroscopy and Chemometrics Technology”.
  2. Dr. Sugeng Sutiarso, Professor of Mathematics Education. The scientific oration presented was entitled “ALQURUN teaching model: An Alternative Model for Learning Mathematics”.
  3. Nairobi, Professor of Public Economics. The scientific oration presented was entitled “The Influence of Political Competition on Economic Growth, Modeling, and Empirical Evidence”.
  4. Dr. Hardoko Insan Qudus, Professor in Analytical Chemistry. The scientific oration presented was entitled “Application of the Cyclic Voltammetry Method to Study Chemical Reactivity”.
  5. Dr. Darmastuti, Professor of Political Science. The scientific oration presented was entitled “Women and Politics, Subjects in Process”.
  6. Dr. Sugeng Triyono, Professor in the field of Water Resources Engineering/Agricultural Engineering. The scientific oration presented was entitled “Towards a Sustainable Agriculture System Through Water Resources Engineering and Utilization of Organic Waste”.
  7. Dr. Risma Margaretha, Professor of Anthropology. The scientific oration presented was titled “Co-modification of Kinship in Multicultural Relations: Production and Reproduction of  Lampung Ethnic Piil Pesenggiri Cultural Values”.
