(Unila): Chemical Engineering Student Association (Himatemia). Faculty of Engineering (FT), the University of Lampung (Unila) successfully held a grand seminar entitled “Career Opportunities, Technology Implementation, and Renewable Energy to Achieve National Interests”.
This event is part of the Excess (Explosion of Chemical Engineering Study Activities) series that took place at the Unila Multipurpose Building on May 27, 2023. Hundreds of participants from a number of Indonesian universities took part at this national seminar.
The seminar committee presented two experienced speakers in the fields of energy and careers: Trois Dilisusendi, the coordinator of Bioenergy Investment and Cooperation, Directorate General of EBTKE (renewable energy consumption), and Vina Muliana, BUMN Career Professional and a content creator.
Trois Dilisusendi discussed the potential and challenges of developing renewable energy in Indonesia, particularly bioenergy. The seminar was opened by Intizam, the governor’s expert staff for community and human resources in the Province of Lampung, on behalf of Lampung Governor, Arinal Djunaidi.
He praised Himatemia Unila for making the event possible as a forum for chemical engineering students to be able to get the benefit of their knowledge and skills so that they may contribute to crucial aspects of national development.
Ageng Sadnowo Repelianto, Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs of the Faculty of Engineering, also delivered a speech at this occasion. He stated that this national seminar was very timely and relevant to the requirements of society.
He insisted on the significance of chemical engineering students to acquire and to employ knowledge of renewable energy as a solution to environmental and energy crises.
The presence of these two professionals necessarily motivates the participants’ desires to contribute to technological innovation in energy use and serve as a catalyst for future career advancement.
The event was supported by the Department Head of Chemical Engineering at Unila, Yuli Darni, MT, the Himatemia Advisor, Donny Lesmana, M.Sc., and Chemical Engineering lecturers.
