(Unila): The Chancellor of the University of Lampung (Unila), Prof. Lusmeilia Afriani along with her staff made an academic and consolidation visit to the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Friday, April 28, 2023.
The visit was welcomed by FMIPA Unila’s top officals, lecturers, and education personnel at the second floor conference room of the Dean of FMIPA Unila building.
Prof. Lusi during the visit pushed FMIPA to have the number of superior accreditations in all of the faculty’s study programs increased.
Superior accreditation of FMIPA with primary focus on science and applied research will necessarily lead to communities, particularly prospective new students’ trust to the faculty.
Prof. Lusi praises the lecturers’ efforts, which have resulted in numerous research findings published in national and international journals and she asked the lecturers to keep their good work so that Kedaireka matching grant would be achieved.
In terms of student affairs, Prof. Lusi reminds academic supervisors to notify active students in the ninth semester for their eligibility for a 50% reduction in tuition fee (UKT).
Prof. Lusi also made a promise during the visit to help and collaborate with FMIPA increase the quality of education, lecture facilities, and laboratories for the advancement of higher education, tridarma.
Responding to the visit, the Dean of FMIPA Unila. Dr. Heri Satria said that the faculty has been prepared with the documents required for international accreditation by ASIIN in the Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science departments.
The accreditation process was carried out from June 5-7 by bringing in an offline team of assessors from Germany. In addition, the Dean of FMIPA Unila informed that one of the lecturers and two students at the Biology department of FMIPA were nominated for ASIIN assessors at ASIIN. [PR Team]
