(Unila): The Rector of the University of Lampung (Unila) Prof. Hasriadi Mat Akin, signed an agreement with five international universities on Monday (9/9/2019) at the Hall of Prof. Abdul Kadir Muhammad, Building A, The Faculty of Law (FH), Unila.

The five foreign universities were Asia e-University, Malaysia; Fatoni University, Thailand; Mindanu University, Philippines; University Malaysia Perlis, Malaysia; and The RC-Al Khawarizmi International College Foundation Inc., Philippines.

The Rector of Unila directly signed the agreement as well as with the other five rectors. They were Dato’ Prof. Emertus Dr. Hasan Bin Said from Asia e-University of Malaysia, Prof. Dr. Sukree Langputeh from Fatoni University, Thailand; Prof. Dr. Rasid Paca from Mindanau University, Philippines; Prof. Dr. Mohd. Mizan Aslam from University Malaysia Perlis, Malaysia; and Prof. Dr. Alizaman Dumangeang from The RCAl Khawarizmi International College Foundation Inc., Philippines.

This MoU is one of a series of International Collaboration Conference activities initiated by the University of Lampung, Raden Intan State Islamic University, and Lampung Islamic Business and Economics School (STEBI), which will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019.

The committee of the event invited representatives from all faculties, heads of institutions, lecturers at Unila, and also representatives of the Lampung Provincial Government.

After signing the Memorandum of Understanding, the activity was continued with a public lecture by Prof. Jauhary Ali, Dean of School of Art and Social Science, Asia e-University, Malaysia, and also Prof. Dr. Mohd. Mizan Aslam from University Malaysia Perlis. The two distinguished speakers took up the theme of education, international collaboration, as well as the role of media technology in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0.

The general stadium, as the first implementation of the agenda contained in the Memorandum of Agreement, was attended by lecturers, undergraduate and postgraduate students.

It is hoped that the activity may enhance Unila achievements as well as drive the lecturers’ contributions at the international level by producing joint research with worldwide universities according to the points of agreement. Furthermore, all parties agreed to open up opportunities for both bachelor and master students to take part in student exchanges for 6-12 months. [PR Team]
