(Unila): Rector of the University of Lampung, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hasriadi Mat Akin, M.P., constructed several infrastructures in the Faculty of Engineering (FT).
The groundbreaking ceremony was held on Friday (2/8/2019). It was marked by the laying of the first stone construction of Building B FT by Rector of Unila, accompanied by Vice-Rector for General and Financial Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Kamal, M.Sc., Dean of FT, Prof. Dr. Suharno, M.Sc., Ph.D., and other officials.
Prof. Suharno conveyed, the big family of the Faculty of Engineering Unila expressed excitement as our campus currently received the Rector’s Decree for the Department of Geodesy and Architecture.
“We receive physical and academic development today, so we are jubilant,” said the alumni of Auckland University, New Zealand.
Prof. Suharno also revealed that FT Unila had an Engineer Professional Program, which was approved last May. “Alhamdulillah, there are currently 40 registered students,” he explained.
BPI Technical Team Unila, Kelik Hendro Basuki, ST, MT, added, Building B, and the continued construction of the Soil Mechanics Laboratory are planned to be accomplished by 2020. The funding the construction of building B is IDR 7 billion, while the Soil Mechanics Laboratory is about IDR 5 billion.
“The left-wing is planned for two floors, while the right-wing will be set for three floors by the next year. Totally, it requires IDR 10 billion. However, the Soil Mechanics Laboratory is budgeted for IDR 3.5 billion. Hopefully the construction will be completed next year,” he concluded.
Rector of Unila, Prof. Hasriadi, revealed, Unila is committed to completing all construction of the stalled building since late 2018. He hopes that this infrastructure will be able to encourage all stakeholders of Unila to change.
