(Unila): Implementation of the first international conference dedicated to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the University of Lampung (Unila), went smoothly.
The success of the international conference IC-STAR 2015 (The 1st International Conference on Science, Technology and Interdisciplinary Research) is characterized by the many speakers from home and abroad participating. There are 86 titles of papers that have been selected by the committee. All from seven countries as well as various universities and research institutions in Indonesia.
Head Telecommunication Engineering Laboratory Unila Ardian Ulvan said the conference highlighted the new things, the progress to date, the challenges of state-of-the-art, the current status is also the future in all aspects related to research and development in science, engineering and technology and interdisciplinary research.
The fields of study on the IC-STAR 2015 covering the areas of engineering and technology, which includes electrical engineering and telecommunications, mechanical and industrial engineering, geophysics, aerospace, mining, materials science, chemistry and the environment, civil engineering and architecture, computer and information technology ,
Biological sciences and applied sciences include mathematics, physics, biophysics, nanotechnology and quantum, applied basic chemistry, space science, and astronomy. Medical science and engineering fields include medicine and medical pharmaceutical, nutritional science, kesahatan society, biomedical engineering, sports science. Agriculture and food include agriculture, food science and technology of agricultural, livestock, marine and fisheries, forestry and ekologika.
According to Ardian, the committee presents five keynote speakers at the IC-STAR 2015. Namely Prof. Ing.Robert Bestak, from the Department of Telecommunication Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic, Prof. Takashi Nishino, from the Department of Chemical Science and Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Kobe Univeristy, Japan, Prof. Shinji Takenaka, from the Department of Environmental Microbiology, Graduate School of Agriculture, Kobe University, Japan
Professor Toshiro Ohashi, from the Department of Materials Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Hokkaido University, Japan, and Professor Hadi Nur, of the Centre for Sustainable nanomaterials, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia.
“The implementation of IC-STAR 2015 conference is supported by the Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia, and the University of Udayana, Indonesia, as a partner institution and the Horiba Scientific as industry partners,” he said.
In addition, there are four international journals as a partner publications, namely Trans Tech Publications (indexed Scopus), Journal of Applied Research and Technology (indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded – SCIE of ISI / Thomson, Elsevier IF = 0447), ARPN Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences (indexed Scopus), and IOP Science Journal of Physics Conference Series (indexed Scopus). They have expressed a willingness and commitment to publish selected papers recommended by the Scientific Committee of IC-STAR. [*]
