(Unila): The Dean and staff of school of education (FKIP), the University of Lampung (Unila), received a delegation from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in the FKIP Dean’s Meeting Room, Monday, 22 January 2024.
The activity was a return visit made by the dean and staff of FKIP Unila on 11 September 2023 at FSSH UTM.
The discussion involved faculty leaders, leaders of the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education Department, and heads of study programs and lecturers in the FMIPA Department, namely from the Mathematics Education, Physics Education, Biology Education and Chemistry Education study programs.
According to Dean of FKIP Unila Prof. Sunyono, the meeting between FKIP Unila and FSSH UTM constitutes research collaboration between the two institutions.
Sunyono also emphasizes that FKIP Unila is committed to sustainable cooperation, such as allocating funds for research and other activities in order to strengthen relations between Indonesia and Malaysia, expanding other forms of collaborations, such as joint writing of articles in reputable international journals, international guest lecturers, visiting professors, and student mobility activities.
These sorts of activities are expected to support Unila’s reputation of higher education in global levels. Assoc. Prof. Ts. Nor Hasniza Ibrahim representing FSSH UTM in his speech expressed his gratitude for the positive welcome by FKIP Unila to the representatives of FSSH UTM.
He further said that this discussion was scheduled to focus on comparative studies of education and learning in Indonesia and Malaysia, especially in the fields of mathematics, chemistry, biology and physics education. [PR Team]
