The event took place at the Balai Keratuan, Lampung Province.

The event was attended by Indonesia’s Minister of Law, Dr. Supratman Andi Agtas, S.H., M.H., the Governor of Lampung, Rahmat Mirzani Djausal, S.T., M.M.; Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law in Lampung Province, Taufik Kurahman, S.H., M.Si., B.C.; along with their staff, Special Staff of the Minister of Law of the Republic of Indonesia in the fields of Digital Transformation and Media and Communication, representatives from ministries/agencies in Lampung Province, and mayors and regents throughout Lampung Province.

The Posbankum programme represents the government’s commitment to providing more inclusive legal services so that the community can access information, consultation, and legal assistance openly, thereby increasing public legal awareness and protecting their rights. A total of 2,651 legal aid posts in villages and sub-districts in Lampung Province have been successfully established at a rate of 100%.

Dr. Supratman, representing the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia, also expressed appreciation for the Notary Studies Programme, which is deemed to have contributed to strengthening legal aid services.

This achievement is a strategic step in expanding the reach of legal services to the village/sub-district level.

Through this initiative, Unila is committed to supporting the strengthening of access to justice for the community by actively participating in enhancing legal literacy, community service, and collaboration with the government and relevant institutions in strengthening legal aid services at the village and sub-district levels.

In an interview, Prof. Ayi Ahadiat stated that the collaboration established is expected to clarify the direction of programme implementation, particularly following the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the University of Lampung and the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law.

This collaboration is anticipated to support the implementation of thematic Community Service Learning (KKN) in the field of legal assistance, thereby providing tangible benefits to the community.

Through this programme, students are expected to engage in providing assistance and helping to resolve various legal issues faced by the community.

By involving students and lecturers in research activities and community service, it is hoped that efforts to strengthen law enforcement will yield broader benefits.

Moreover, for students from other disciplines, this activity is also expected to provide new insights into the importance of legal understanding in community life. [Gandhi Irawan]
