(Unila): The Mall Boemi Kedaton (MBK) in Bandar Lampung, which had previously been closed owing to the implementation of the Emergency Public Activity Restriction (PPKM) Level 4 policy, was not very crowded in mid-September 2021, during its first week of operation.

A number of food courts, phone counters, clothing sections, and electronic stores have already begun to run, however, some stalls and stores are still closed.

A woman wearing a black headscarf with a white sheet of paper on her booth table on the second floor of the mall was observed to take notes while using her smartphone. There were other people walking by who were glued to their phones.

The young woman was Florencia Agustin, a student at the University of Lampung who was enrolled in an MBKM program, who had been entrusted to act as the administrator of the Cloud Kitchen online store through Tokopedia at Mall Boemi Kedaton.

Cloud Kitchen sells food and beverage (F&B) products sold at Mall Boemi Kedaton to customers online. When the Covid-19 outbreak struck, Florencia said, CV. BAS and Mall Boemi Kedaton collaborated to run the Cloud Kitchen at the mall in order to serve customers.

“BAS Creative launched Cloud Kitchen at Tokopedia, which provides delivery services for food and beverage products by paying only one delivery fee,” said Florencia.

Using Tokopedia’s Cloud Kitchen Store, customers may get food and beverages sold at the mall, including Hok Ben, Liang, and Starbucks, all in one delivery. Since Cloud Kitchen works with GoSend to provide delivery services, the delivery fees are dependent on GoSend’s rates.

Florencia and Mega Ayu Putri, students studying at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, the University of Lampung, both obtained a six-month internship at CV. BAS, starting on June 28, 2021.

This was where she got a lot of hands-on experience in event planning, from preparing an event concept to putting on and evaluating an event. One of the activities she was managing with the BAS Creative team, Cloud Kitchen at Mall Boemi Kedaton, presents an incredible challenge and experience for her.

It is because Bandar Lampung was the first place to use the Cloud Kitchen concept through Tokopedia, a brand-new online retail platform that became popular during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Along with her co-worker, Florencia was given the responsibility of managing the Cloud Kitchen’s online account. She was also tasked with reviewing all the issues and problems encountered during the Cloud Kitchen trial.

Florencia worked as a Cloud Kitchen administrator, creating shops, responding to chat, taking orders, processing them, thenrequesting pickups, among other administrative duties. During her internship, a smartphone and a laptop were provided for her and had access to them.

She talked about her six-month internship with CV. BAS would be converted into 20 credits for courses in lobbying, negotiation, and mediation.

“It just so happened that the courses I converted through MBKM were Lobbying, Negotiation, and Mediation Techniques. I believe that this should be the goal, and thus far, I feel as though I have practiced the course,” she remarked.

Florencia admitted that while she was an intern, in addition to learning a lot and developing her abilities, she also made new friends and experienced a positive and enjoyable environment.

“It’s enjoyable since I and my friends work in a positive environment and are surrounded by kind people. We genuinely feel a part of every event,” she ended. [PR Team]
