(Unila): One of the benefits of accreditation of a tertiary educational institution based on BAN-PT quality standards is to protect the community besides encouraging the tertiary institution to maintain the service quality continuously.

The vocational study program, D3 Library of FISIP Unila welcomed an accreditation visitation from the BAN-PT assessor team, Monday (07/08/2019).

Visitation is a follow up to the accreditation forms evaluation process to assess and verify the completeness and correctness of the submitted data.

This activity, which took place in the Hall A Building of FISIP Unila, was attended by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Bujang Rahman, M.Sc., Assessors of BAN-PT Dr., Nurdin Laugu, M.Sc., and Dr. Agus Rusmana, M.A., as well as other leaders in the FISIP Unila.

In his remarks, Bujang said that the University of Lampung is currently striving for academic development, which is influenced by lecturers' and applied researches, especially in improving facilities for vocational programs.

He considered the D3 library is a strategic study program based on the growing number of enthusiasts. “Lampung also has planned to establish a Grand Regional Library of the province. Thus, this will be a tremendous opportunity to develop this study program,” he said.

Bujang hopes that in the future, there will be a strengthening of research-based learning that implements three pillars of Higher Education in it. Hence, it requires the combination of library, laboratory, and ICT. [PR Team]
