(Unila): A total of 125 participants took part in the socialization on the Lecturer Career and the Credit Score by the Menpan-RB Regulations in the University of Lampung, Thursday (6/4/2019). The event, which took place at Tabek Indah Resort Natar, was officially opened by the Vice-Rector for General and Finance Affairs, Unila, Prof. Muhammad Kamal.
Head of Personnel Division of Unila, Apandi, M.Si., said, “Upgrading the career of lecturer is one of the essential factors in establishing the quality of university. Therefore, in accelerating the lecturer career, it is necessary to equalize perceptions regarding the standards and the procedures.”
Besides, the socialization was aimed to introduce and upgrading the rules relating to career positions of lecturers and credit numbers by the Regulation of the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2013 jo Number 46 of 2013.
He expected that this socialization could simplify and accelerate the career of lecturers at the University of Lampung. Many representatives from all faculties attended the meeting. They were head lector, lector, expert assistant, teaching staff, head of the planning and personnel subdivision.
There were two guest speakers from the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Taty Supartyah, S.H., who served as the Head of Functional Division of the HR Bureau, and the Personnel Manager in the Functional Position of the HR Bureau, Deni Ferdiana, S.T.
In his remarks, Prof. Muhammad Kamal advised all participants to pay attention to the material presented by both distinguished speakers as it is beneficial and may increase the understanding of the used rules. Also, he expected that they could assess and be more discipline in archiving the documents related to the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
“Thus, each of them will accelerate the status of his functional position following the applicable regulations. Unila will continue to develop Professorship Program so that all lecturers are encouraged to become professors soon,” he said. [PR Team]
