(Unila): The Directorate General of Resources and Equipment of Post and Information Technology (Dirjen SDPPI) of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology collaborates with FISIP of the University of Lampung to hold an event called SDPPI Goes to Campus.

The event is aimed at increasing the understanding of the younger generation regarding the radio frequency spectrum and its use.

The event, with a theme of “Frequency and Telecommunication Devices for the Millennial Generation” took place at the Unila FISIP Hall, Thursday (05/16/2019).

Vice Rector for Student and Alumni Affairs, Prof. Karomani, in his speech explained frequency is an effective and efficient natural resource that is available side by side with people’s lives.

The use of radio in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 is global. The advance of science and technology in the field of information, especially radio frequency, is part of the mass media.

“In addition to informing, the task of communication, both radio and other media, practitioners must always maintain positive information content, stay away from hoaxes, and educate people,” said Karomani.

The Director General of SDPPI Dr. Ismail said frequency is an integrated system and mechanism. “The use of frequency must be well planned. It is the scripture for us, the regulation table,” he said.

Ismail hopes that students can explore the substance of information contents. “And as an agent of change, students are expected to use frequency in its appropriate place, not in prohibited places such as on a plane. “[PR Team]
