(Unila): The University of Lampung (Unila) is actively attempting to promote global collaboration by participating in the Higher Education Partnerships Conference (HEPCON) 2024, taking place at the Balai Kartini Convention Center, Jakarta, 29-31 August 2024.
The conference is regarded as an important platform for higher education institutions in Indonesia to establish international partnerships since education institutions are faced with the challenge of the digital era. Unila remains fully committed to expanding the cross-border cooperation network.
Dr. Ayi described that HEPCON is a strategic opportunity to establish new and innovative partnerships amid the rapid development of global technology.
Similarly, Prof. Irza also insisted on the importance of HEPCON as a place to exchange ideas and an effort to build a more inclusive and competitive foundation for the world of education through solid partnerships through which the ever-changing global dynamics would be sorted out.
The participation in HEPCON indicates high commitment of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek) in supporting the development of globally competitive higher education, strengthening the existing bilateral and multilateral relations.
Chairman of the Indonesian State University Rectors Council, Ganefri, who also attended the meeting, highlighted the importance of international collaboration to improve the quality of higher education in Indonesia.
HEPCON, he noticed, facilitates higher education to reduce educational disparities and form a stronger global academic community as it is a catalyst of knowledge exchange and collaboration between universities in Indonesia and international partners.
