(Unila): Lampung University (Unila) has once again recorded significant achievements in the international rankings of the QS World University Rankings and QS Asia University Rankings for the year 2026.

In the QS World University Rankings Sustainability 2026, Unila attained a ranking of 916 for Environmental Impact, 1251+ for Social Impact, and 976 for Governance.

Meanwhile, in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, Unila is positioned between 701–710 in Asia and ranks 122 in the Southeast Asia region.

The Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems at Unila, Prof. Dr. Ayi Ahadiat, S.E., M.B.A., expressed that this achievement is worthy of gratitude, as Unila has managed to sustain its position amidst increasingly competitive global competition.

“Rankings may fluctuate, but what is most important is how we align our perceptions and actions to strengthen all the assessed indicators together,” he stated.

He explained that QS evaluates various aspects, including academic reputation, citations per faculty, employer reputation, international research networks, and sustainability.

Consequently, enhancing publications in reputable international journals and collaborations with foreign partners has become a primary strategy to improve citation contributions and institutional reputation.

He noted that the global collaborations that have been pursued thus far have had a positive impact, particularly in expanding academic networks and increasing joint publications.

Furthermore, the internationalisation of the university through the increase of foreign faculty and students, as well as a commitment to sustainability issues, is continuously promoted to strengthen Unila’s competitiveness.

He also urged the entire academic community to work together. “Faculty members need to strengthen international research networks, students should adopt a global mindset and not be easily satisfied, educational staff must be professional and visionary, and alumni are expected to serve as locomotives in opening collaboration opportunities,” he remarked.
