(Unila): Waytuba village administrators and Unila students were in collaboration with the two high schools (SMPN 3 and SMAN 2) Gunung Labuhan to organize bazaar activities, in the village office yard, Monday, January 22, 2024.

Among those in attendance were the head of Waytuba Rusman village, Eka Buanan as Head of Labuhan Jaya Village, BPK, village administrators, and the teacher council of SMPN 3 and SMAN 2 Gunung Labuhan.

The Waytuba festival (Watufest) activity was carried out so that high school students learn entrepreneurship from an early age besides giving them the opportunity to learn entrepreneurship on a small scale and to teach honesty, creativity, cooperation, responsibility, and struggle in life.

The competition event between students displayed their best work implementing economics and entrepreneurship knowledge gained from learning. Participants seemed enthusiastic about participating in the festival taking place from 10.00 a.m. to 3 p.m. to introduce students’ products, both modern and traditional.

The principals of SMPN 3 and SMAN 2 Gunung Labuhan expressed their gratitude to the village administrators and the Unila students for organizing the Waytuba Festival.

“We are very grateful and we thank the organizers for knowledge of entrepreneurship so that our students get to know the world from an early age. They fill their free time with positive things, can channel their creative hobbies or express useful new ideas which beneficial for their future,” he said.

This bazaar is also to facilitate students to communicate in a good manner about which they have no knowledge with friends, relatives, younger people, peers, and elder people. [PR Team]
