(Unila): The Executive Board of the Indonesian Communication Science Student Association (PP IMIKI) holds a public discussion and launches the IMIKI training manual module book at Golden Boutique Hotel, Jakarta, Monday (05/27/2019).

The theme of the event was “Measuring the Role of Communication for Community Unity and Peace in Post-Election Reconciliation”.

It was attended by several speakers including Dr. Dadang Rahmat H as General Chair of the Central ISKI (Association of Communication Sciences) and Dean of Faculty of Communication Sciences Unpad, Asmono Wikan as Secretary General of the Press Company Union, as well as representatives of each IMIKI region and branch, especially Banten, DKI Jakarta and West Java.

In addition to the public discussion, the committee launched the IMIKI Training and Education Handbook as an effort to advance the quality of IMIKI members. Chairman of IMIKI Mahbub Ubaedi Alwi explained, there are three factors for the need for Diklat in IMIKI.

Education and training are important in an organization. It is a means for inheriting values ​​that include organization, nationality, science, and leadership.

Besides, it is as a development of human resources in scientific aspects, leadership, and soft skills. This is also an effort to increase the quantity of active membership. Mahbub also expressed his gratitude to all team members who tried to formulate the training guidelines for IMIKI.

Head of Organizational Division of IMIKI PP Riski Firmanto hopes that the IMIKI Training and Education guidance module can be implemented by the regional, branches administrators and administrators of higher education.

“Hopefully it will be useful for organizations and IMIKI. Both members and administrators are able to create regeneration and make more competent, responsible members and realize the ideals of the organization,” said Riski.
