(Unila): Student Executive Board (BEM KBM) of the University of Lampung (Unila) invited young entrepreneurs at the National Seminar on Entrepreneurship on Sunday (05/12/2019). The event was a series of the Grand Opening of the Entrepreneur Festival.

The National Seminar which took place at Unila Agriculture Hall was attended by 200 participants from various universities in Lampung Province. Among others, Tanjungkarang Polytechnic, IBI Darmajaya, Umitra, STIT Pringsewu, Lampung State Polytechnic, and KBM Unila.

This entrepreneurial talk show was themed as “Building a Young Entrepreneurial Generation through Creative, Innovative and Inspiring Entrepreneurship”.

In this event the Unila BEM invited a number of speakers. They were Muhammad Khadafi, S.H., M.H (Chairman of the Lampung Chamber of Commerce); Adhitya Saputra S.E., M.M (General Secretary of the BPD HIPMI Lampung); and Rezi Novaldi (Chair of the Higher Education HIPMI).

The committee also invited two young business leaders as moderators namely Karvien (Founder and Owner of Melte Vanana) and Ali Alhafif S.TP (Owner of Melte Vanana).

Fajar Agung Pangestu (President of the Students) emphasized that the event was aimed at helping students realize the spirit of young entrepreneurs so that they can contribute to improving the economic sector.

“As a student, you don’t have to take care of politics, but you have to be involved in the country’s economy such as becoming an entrepreneur,” he explained.

In his presentation, Kaddafi advised, the destiny of this nation depends on the younger generation. If all aspire to become civil servants, the state only finances its citizens. For this reason, the young generation must be brave enough to change their civil servant-oriented mindset to become a millionaire. “Don’t be too comfortable in the comfort zone because it will make you fall quickly,” he concluded.

The event also presented young entrepreneurs graduating from Lampung University. They will be mentors for students when running business classes in the future. Classes will last for six months.

The event was closed with the signing of the MoU by the President of BEM U KBM Unila, Secretary of the BPD HIPMI Lampung, and Chairperson of the Higher Education HIPMI. [PR Team]
