(Unila): Faculty of Medicine, The University of Lampung (FK Unila) ratified a cooperation with Prodia Widyahusada Tbk. Ltd., at the Rectorat Main Hall fl. 2 nd, Rectorate Building, Wednesday (03/20/2019).
The cooperation, which will be planned on education and research realm, was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.
The signing was carried out by the Rector of Unila, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hasriadi Mat Akin, M.P.; Dean of FK, Dr. dr. Muhartono, M.Kes, Sp.PA., with the Director of Prodia’s Business and Marketing, Indriyanti Rafi Sukmawati.
This agenda was also attended by all Management Boards of Unila; vice rectors, deans, vice deans, postgraduate director, head of institutes, UPT, head of divisions and subdivisions in Unila, as well as Prodia entourage.
Indriyanti said that Prodia Widyahusada Ltd. has currently cooperated with 32 Universities in Indonesia. It means that by this MoU, University of Lampung became the 33rd University that in collaboration with Prodia.
Indriyati added, Prodia will support the progress of Unila in research and education realm. “For example, supporting journals produced by Unila as to attain Scopus Index. Moreover, Prodia gears up to support a knowledge transfer in a laboratory development,”she said.
Indriyanti conveyed that Prodia currently becomes the best laboratory in Southeast Asia. Besides, being given an ISO 27000 certificate, the laboratory has already utilized a robotic system which is expected to minimize the human error.
Prof. Hasriadi stated, University of Lampung is currently focusing on research. “For Unila, research and education are likely to be two sides of inseparable currencies. Through research, Unila is expected to be a prominent university,” he said.
In addition, Unila is currently building a teaching hospital and also plans to develop a Research Center as forthcoming project.
This cooperation is mutually beneficial because the fastest growing science is on health. Thus, this is very useful for medicine as well as for raising the human resources competence.[Release / PR Team]
