Secretary of LPPM Unila, Dr. Hartoyo, M.Sc., said that the training, which was focused on research proposals of prospective reviewers, is aimed to improve research performance in the University of Lampung.

Hartoyo said, LPPM had asked numbers of faculty representatives to become reviewers to help researchers prepare their research proposals according to their fields.

In addition, LPPM continues to follow up the progress of the researchers as to meet The Scopus Indexed international journal targets.

The researchers’ support is an effort to fulfill the output.  “LPPM hopes that any related research proposals can be reviewed and selected as to find out qualified proposals and satisfactory output,” he explained.

Hartoyo also added that LPPM recently has approved the development of the featured research in the field of cassava research innovation.

He expected, the deans in each faculty can participate in fostering Unila through a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with various parties according to their respective specialities.

Meanwhile, Prof. Saryono as Chairman of the Research Guideline Team of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education explained, there is an essential role of research reviewers in ensuring research quality and eligibility. As Permenristekdikti No. 69 Year 2016, reviewers are responsible to produce quality research proposals.

Saryono concluded that based on the Permenristekdikti, a reviewer is also given a task to provide the output value of the research process both from the recommendation of the administrative feasibility of the research cost estimation and additional output costs. A reviewer, however, simultaneously can become both a reviewer of research as well as a reviewer of result.[PR Team]
