(Unila): In order to improve the nations competitiveness related to education output, University of Lampung (Unila) through the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) opens opportunities for Lampung students to learn in international class at Unila.
FEB invited a number of high schools, vocational and MA school principals in Bandarlampung to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the selection of prospective international class students at Unila. The ratification of the MoU took place in the Hall D of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Thursday (02/14/2019).
Dean of FEB, Prof. Satria Bangsawan, said, the treatment in the international class will adopt an international curriculum using international language. International class students will be selected from selection and screening process as MoU has begun.
There is noting different from any other entry requirements, international class requires a minimum TOEFL score of 500 or an IELST score at least 5.5 or 6, and gets written and interview test.
The classes that are opened are the Department of Management with a concentration on Marketing Management and Finance. The maximum students is 20 students in which we prioritized Lampung students.
“This international class has special selection, which is filtered based on our standards and procedures. Go get involved in the course. The courses are adjusted to the international curriculum with bilingual language in certain lectures,” explained Satria while being interviewed.
Satria also added that the international curriculum provide an ease to students to compete with students from other countries. FEB is also preparing a training of trainers for alumni as he expected in order they are able to create job.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Bujang Rahman, said, the international class is opened to prepare graduates to world competitiveness as well as to realize a learning atmosphere based on the global system.
Bujang added, hardskills and soft skills could be integrated through this international class initiated by FEB, especially in facing the era of industrial revolution 4.0.
“With this MoU model, Unila gets an ease to find competent and qualified students. This collaboration is one of the efforts to prepare all these things,” Bujang explained.
