(Unila): Faculty of Law University of Lampung (FH Unila) launched The Akmar (Abdulkadir Muhammad Award) Books and Scholarship 2019 at the Auditorium Prof. Abdulkadir Muhammad on Thursday (02/14/2019).
Dr. HS Tisnanta, S.H., M.H., as the chief executive said, the Faculty of Law (FH) launched two books which contains biography and the people closed to Abdulkadir Muhammad and Armen Yasir. One of the books is entitled “The Silent Way of the Teacher Educates with Love – Shape Conscience Legal Person”.
On the same occasion, the Faculty of Law granted Akmar Scholarship to 10 successful candidates. The selection was in the form of proposal making which were then selected by FH team.
Participants, who were failed in the selection, were 14 students. However, they got certificates as the participant, book of Prof. Abdulkadir Muhammad, and reimburse for proposals’ copy.
According to Tisnanta, the source of Akmar’s scholarship is funded by alumni of the Faculty of Law, University of Lampung. The scholarship is awarded for thesis writing for undergraduate students at Unila.
Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation and ICT Affaies, Prof. Dr. Mahatma Kufepaksi, M.Sc., said, the background story of this book production was encouraged by the two inspiring leaders of the Faculty of Law. “The figure of Prof. Abdulkadir Muhammad and Armen Yasir will always inspire all of us,” he added.
Dean of FH Unila, Prof. Dr. Maroni, S.H., M. Hum., also appreciated the organizers and alumni. “This scholarship is a proof that Unila is really concerned with students who are economically disadvantaged. Hopefully, Akmar Scholarship may generate other students to keep struggling to excel their potentials,” he said.
The activity was also attended by the family of the late Prof. Abdulkadir Muhammad and Armen Yasir, S.H., M. Hum.; Chairperson of the Faculty of Law Alumni Association, Abdullah Fadri Auli; Representative of Lampung High Prosecutor, Sopian Sitepu and Partner; Legal Aid Institute; distinguished guests, a number of lecturers, as well as FH students.[Humas]
