(Unila): Rector of the University of Lampung (Unila) Prof. Dr. Ir. Hasriadi Mat Akin, M.P., opened the Creative Teacher Symposium. The event, a collaboration between the Center for Social, Cultural and Educational Research and Development of LPPM Unila, was held at the Multipurpose Building on Thursday (04/11/2019).

The symposium entitled “Together with Creative Teachers Building Quality PAUD” was aimed at building and improving the quality of early childhood educators by developing the competence of all professional teachers, especially PAUD teachers in Lampung Province.

It was attended by 1,793 people in which the highest number of participants came from Tanggamus Regency followed by Central Lampung, and South Lampung. “Creative teachers will produce creative students”

The committee invited three keynote speakers in the field of early childhood education, Dr. Betti Nuraini, M.M., Ir. Nila Kusumaningtyas, M.Pd . and Hj. Anna Anggraini, M.Pd. In addition to the symposium, the committee also held the inauguration of the management of the Lampung Province HIMPAUDI for the period of 2019-2023.

In his speech, Hasriadi said that early childhood education is the initial foundation for building children’s soul, mind, character, and intellectual. In this case teachers are also required to be able to recognize the potential of their diverse students.

PAUD teachers should also be extra patient, be able to think creatively and innovatively. This is important that teachers are required to apply appropriate learning strategies. They must be able to give thought stimulations that children can develop their thoughts and imagination. “Creative teachers will produce creative students,” he said.

It must be understood that early childhood education is one form of education that focuses on growth and development. In children’s golden age, they should ideally get their full rights to education which is also guaranteed by law. [PR Team]
