(Unila): To strengthen the electronic-based learning system, the Institute for Learning Development and Quality Assurance (LP3M) of the University of Lampung provided adequate training on e-learning.
The event, targeted specifically at lecturers, took place in the meeting room of the Rectorate Building on the 4th floor on Monday (4/15/2019).
When opening the event, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Bujang Rahman explained, e-learning applied by Unila has several dimensions. E-learning actualizes Unila in responding to the world developments to face the 4.0 industrial revolution.
Bujang believed that this life cannot be separated from technology. Characteristics, communication and connectivity between people are not limited to space and time.
“In the context of this dimension, the actualization of Unila as both an institution and an education community responds to science,” he said.
Bujang also revealed that it is an integral part of academics. Therefore, it serves to function as either a supplement or complement, a complement or substitute, or to totally replace face-to-face meetings.
“Three things must be prepared, the first student is to be familiar with e-learning. Second, lecturers must have the capacity to master e-learning. Third, the availability of complete learning resources or e-learning resources,” explained Bujang.
The Chair of the event Wahyu Eko Sulisyiono, M.Sc. added, the purpose of the implementation of the event was as a step to strengthen the academic atmosphere with the aim that lecturers could produce e-learning modules.
The material presented in this three-day training included Introduction and Development of e-Learning Systems, Use of Moodle-Based e-Learning Programs, and input of lecture material and e-learning assignments.
Resource persons for the event were Gigih Fordanama and Meizano Ardhi who were also lecturers from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. [PR Team]
