(Unila): The Institute for Learning Development and Quality Assurance (LP3M) of the University of Lampung (Unila) held an Applied Approach (AA) training for 25 Lampung University lecturers.

The training held in the main meeting room on the 4th floor of the Rectorate Building, Tuesday (04/29/2019), was aimed at improving the quality of learning through improving the quality of teaching staff (lecturers).

The event was opened by the Rector Prof. Hasriadi Mat Akin, MP., accompanied by the Chairperson of LP3M Prof. Murhadi, and Secretary of LP3M Elida Purba, Ph.D.

According to Hasriadi, lecturers need to develop pedagogical competencies through relevant training. This is related to the challenges that will be faced in the current era of industrial revolution 4.0.

He stated, the main purpose of developing quality is nothing but to improve the ability of lecturers and build careers in the field of education.

The competency-based curriculum that Unila applied was student-oriented curriculum.
At this time students have experienced democracy of science, namely the opportunity to access knowledge without limited time and space.

“The graduates we produce must be creative, innovative, entrepreneurial and visionary that any subject you deliver must contain those values, “said Hasriadi.

The chief executive of the event Setia Rini, S.Pd., M.Pd., reported that the Applied Approach training was a more advanced program after Pekerti. It was aimed at developing the pedagogical professionalism of lecturers starting from the planning stages of learning to evaluation.

This training was held for 4 days starting on April 29 to May 3 2019. It was targeted that the participants who got assistance could produce one product in the form of textbook. [PR Team]
