(Unila): The University of Lampung (Unila) once again was trusted to hold a Program Asuh Perguruan Tinggi Unggul (which literally means Program on Excellent University Foster Care). It was socialized in the main meeting room on the 2nd floor of Rectorate Building, Tuesday (04/16/2019).
It had been the third time since 2017. This was as a follow-up to a Letter Number 009 / B4 / PPK-SPK / III / 2019 Kemenristekdikti Directorate General Belmawa.
The Chair of the event, Priyambodo, M.Sc., said that this event was attended by 10 Universities in Lampung including STIMIK Tunas Bangsa, STIBUN Lampung, AMIK Lampung, AKPAR Satu Nusa, STIE Lampung, STBA Yunisla, STKIP Kumala Metro, STIT Pringsewu, STKIP Al Islam Tunas Bangsa, and STKIP PGRI Metro.
Rector of Unila Prof. Hasriadi Mat Akin explained, Unila as the oldest university in Lampung has an obligation to maintain the quality of education on this Bumi Ruwa Jurai. The implementation of the program is an effort to improve quality assurance in universities in Lampung.
He said, accreditation is the level of quality of higher education as an educational institution, which is one guarantee for its service users in receiving education.
“A university with an A accrediation has the obligation to provide assistance or accompaniment to other universities that have not or have just been accredited C,” he explained.
Chairperson of STIT Pringsewu, Dwi Rohmadi Mustafa, explained, this program was the starting point for more cooperation in the future. He believed that the founders of higher education previously had the main passion to expand access to education and to educate the nation.
He added, the dynamics and challenges of managing university management require synergy, guidance and direction from all parties.
In line with that, the Chairman of STKIP Kumala Metro, Budi Hartono, hoped that this program would become a new spirit and energy for private universities in Lampung. The program was expected to be able to improve the quality of educational management audits.
It began with the dissemination of the program targets by Elida Purba, Ph.D., followed by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Unila and the 2019 program participants. [PR Team]
