(Unila): Lampung University (Unila) has once again achieved a remarkable milestone in the realm of national scientific publication.
A total of 14 scientific journals within Unila have successfully earned new accreditation and maintained as well as improved their accreditation rankings based on the Decree of the Director General of Science and Technology Number 355/DST/D.D1/HM.01.01/2026, issued on July 24, 2026, regarding the New Accreditation Rankings of Scientific Journals for the 2025 Period.
This achievement serves as concrete evidence of the commitment of the academic community at Unila to uphold the quality of journal management towards international standards while also supporting the dissemination of high-quality research results to the broader community.
In the announcement, Unila recorded one journal at SINTA 2, one journal at SINTA 3, five journals at SINTA 4, six journals at SINTA 5, and one journal at SINTA 6. This variation in achievements indicates both consistency and an improvement in the quality of scientific publication management across various fields of study.
The Rector of Unila, Prof. Dr. Ir. Lusmeilia Afriani, D.E.A., IPM., ASEAN Eng., expressed deep appreciation for this outstanding achievement.
In her view, the success of 14 scientific journals in obtaining and maintaining SINTA accreditation reflects the high academic productivity and institutional commitment to strengthening the research ecosystem. “We are very proud of the achievement of 14 scientific journals at Unila that have once again been recognized for their quality at the national level.
This is the result of the hard work of journal managers, editors, reviewers, and researchers within Unila. The university will continue to provide full support to ensure that the culture of scientific publication continues to thrive and have a real impact on the advancement of science and the competitiveness of the nation,” she stated.
In line with the Rector, the Head of the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of Unila emphasized that the institution is committed to supporting journal managers across all faculties to meet national and global accreditation standards.
“LPPM Unila continues to encourage the improvement of journal management quality through various mentoring programs, journal clinics, and facilitation of digital publication processes. The results of this accreditation period demonstrate that the journals at Unila are increasingly credible and serve as primary references in the dissemination of scientific research,” he said.
The Chairman of the Publication and Cooperation Center of LPPM Unila, Ir. Gigih Forda Nama, S.T., M.T.I., IPM., added that the new accreditation achievements, reaccreditation maintenance, and ranking improvements encompass various fields of study, ranging from science, agriculture, engineering, medicine, education, to social sciences and humanities.
“From the 14 journals announced in this Decree of the Director General of Science and Technology, we observe a very positive variation in achievements, including the Journal of Tropical Soils, which remains strong at SINTA 2, new journals at SINTA 4 and 5, as well as journals that successfully advanced in ranking. We will continue to facilitate journal managers to ensure the smooth management and data updates in SINTA and ARJUNA,” he explained.
The complete list of accredited journals includes the Journal of Tropical Soils at SINTA 2, the Agrotropika Journal at SINTA 3, as well as several other journals ranked from SINTA 4 to SINTA 6, such as Mechanical Journal, Suluh Pembangunan, Repong Damar, Lampung Engineering Journal, J-Simbol, Journal of Community Service Sakai Sambayan, JK Unila, U-JET, Education, Language, and Arts, Journal of Engineering Profession, Applied Informatics and Electrical Engineering Journal, and Andan Jejama.
