(Unila): The Implementation Board of the University of Lampung for Sustainable Development Goals (BP-SDGs of Unila) cordially welcomed the visitation from the representative of the University of Queensland (UQ), Australia, Cindy Bernical, who is currently interning at the Australia Award in Indonesia Office, Jakarta.
The purpose of her visitation at Unila on Wednesday (02/19/2020) was to discuss the issue of gender equality, which is considered as SDGs No 5, Achieve Gender Equality and Empower All Women and Girls.
After meeting face to face with the Rector of Unila, Prof. Karomani, in his office, Cindy continued with a further discussion with Unila SDGs Center Team.
During the discussion, the Chairman of BP-SDGs Unila, Unang Mulkhan, M.B.A., Ph.D., initiated a plan for the synergy and collaboration between Unila and Australia. The cooperation plan will be about realizing the pilot project of SDGs Village by inviting many volunteers from The Top 100 Universities.
Some of the planning projects will run several world-crucial issues such as stunting and water sanitary. Furthermore, BP-SDGs Unila intends to create projects that motivate each faculty to compete in taking actions for the people surrounding as well as the ecosystem. [PR Team]
