(Unila): Dafa Sitanala Putra Baladiah, a student majoring in Informatics Engineering Undergraduate Study Program, along with two teammates from SMPN 1 Bandar Lampung and SMA YP Unila won 1st place in the mini industrial robot (RMI) competition in the Electro Activities Program (e-Time) competition held by the Jakarta State Polytechnic.

He was very happy for the victory as he and his team were able to defeat the their rivals in the tight competition and tough challenges. Robots competition in the RMI needs to strictly follow the line set by the committee and goes as fast as possible to compete to the next stage.

Dafa admitted that he experienced problems at the top 16 preliminary stage due to the problems with his robot. However, he and his team struggled to have the robot repaired until they managed to qualify for the top eight which brought the team to the competition venue and finally completed the mission given by the committee with best results, the champion of the competition.

For Dafa, solid teamwork and mutual support is believed to be the key success of the competition. He also said that his robot had several different designs and spare parts from other participating robots.

“I have been involved in robotics since high school and that is what led me to become a Unila student through a special achievement route. Robotics is my hobby. “I plan to continue developing it,” said Dava.

This achievement should be proud of Unila and motivates students’ interest in the field of robotics. He also thanked all parties who had supported him. He thanked the supervisor, Mr. Rizal, who always provided direction and motivation. He thanks went to his teammates, family and everyone who has contributed for the success in the competition.

In addition, M. Cahyadi Nugroho Putra, from the Electrical Engineering Undergraduate Study Program class of 2022, along with his teammate from YP Unila High School, also won 3rd place in the same competition branch. [PR Team]
