(Unila): University of Lampung (Unila) held a socialization event for community service activities based on impactful Community Service Programs (KKN) in the main meeting room on the second floor of the Rectorate Building on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
The event aimed to align perceptions and strengthen the understanding of the academic community regarding the implementation of Community Service Programs (KKN) that are oriented towards real impact on the community.
The socialization was opened by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Unila, Prof. Dr. Eng. Suripto Dwi Yuwono, S.Si., M.T.
In his speech, he emphasized that impactful KKN is part of the implementation of Unila’s academic policy that places community service as an outcome-based activity.
Through impact-oriented CSL, students are not only present in the community but are also required to produce relevant, sustainable, and measurable solutions tailored to local needs.
The socialization event was attended by the Secretary of the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM), Field Supervisors (DPL), and Center Heads within the LPPM Unila.
The socialization material was delivered by Prof. Suripto Dwi Yuwono, who explained Unila’s academic policy direction in developing impactful community service programs.
He explained that community service programs are aimed at supporting the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) for higher education institutions, while also serving as a vehicle for contextual learning for students through collaboration with the community, local government, and other development partners.
Next, Diky Hidayat, S.Si., M.Sc., delivered material related to the technical implementation of impactful KKN, starting from program planning, determining the theme of service, to the mechanism of student assistance by DPL.
He emphasized the importance of the role of supervising lecturers in ensuring that the KKN program is in line with community needs and has clear outcomes.
The next material was presented by Prof. Dr. Kusuma Adhianto, S.Pt., M.P., who reviewed strategies for strengthening community service based on local potential.
He highlighted the importance of integrating the research results of lecturers and students in the KKN program, so that community service activities are not merely ceremonial, but are able to provide real and sustainable benefits for the target community.
Through this outreach activity, Unila hopes that future KKN implementations will be more focused, measurable, and aligned with Unila’s vision as a university actively contributing to community and regional development. [Gandhi Irawan]
