(Unila): Prof. Suharso, deputy chancellor for planning, cooperation, and ICT, opened a workshop on a study program cooperation with world class partners, Monday, October 31, 2022.

He said that the workshop which took place at the Golden Tulip Hotel was held for representatives of study programs, departments, work units, institutions, and faculties in the local campus environment.

Dr. Ayi Ahadiat, head of the technical implementation unit for the development of international cooperation and services (UPT PKLI), said that the purpose of this activity was to meet the key performance indicators (IKU 6) of Unila.

He explained that the principle of work carried out by UPT-PKLI refers to snow balling in that PKLI triggers to have cooperation with a number of overseas partners established.

He hopes that Unila continues to promote collaborations in a number of fields with other parties to develop the University of Lampung.

According to Ayi Ahadiat, Unila is in need to promote international cooperation as a part of globalization so that the advancement of Unula can be reached soon.

The cooperation can be made step by step, initiated from person to person, then from the level of study program to institution, and finally followed up by institution to international partners so that a clear road maps are made possible.

On the same occasion, Prof. Suharso, said that we are certainly parts of globalization era. Individuals need to be creative and have high innovation to be superior individuals.

No guarantee the universities from which we graduated even overseas graduates if we lack innovation, no significant impact would be made. The current era belongs to such an uncertain era that everyone is encouraged to be more creative and innovative.

Suharso added that the materials delivered in the workshop were worth opening horizons in facing global challenges. Brilliant ideas are expected to emerge during the workshop. The participants were also encouraged to have capability of writing down their ideas in the form of a good proposal, which in turn leads to better academic climate of the University of Lampung.

The participants need to improve their quality with respect to the topic of the workshop for the sake of our international cooperation.

Among those present were the speakers were Rachel Michelle Luschen, the director of unbound now Indonesia, Dr. Junaidi, deputy chair I of the implementation of the merdeka campus center of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Dr. Bernadia I.
