(Unila): Rector and the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Lusmeilia Afriani and Dr. Eng. Suripto Dwi Yuwono, respectively participated in the Semiconductor Education Roadshow 2024 Indonesia – Germany program, Monday, June 3, 2024, in Munich, Germany.
This program was organized by the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Berlin with 18 delegates from various universities and institutions in Indonesia.
Unila along with 17 other delegates had the agendas of attending the Bavarian Semiconductor Congress (BSC) 2024 and meeting with the Bavarian Chips Design Center (BCDC), as well as vising Infineon Regensburg.
BSC 2024 constitutes an annual meeting organized by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development, in collaboration with the Bavarian Chips Alliance.
This meeting was attended by Prof. Lusmeilia and Dr. Roniyus Marjunus, acting as the Education and Culture Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Berlinas well as a lecturer at FMIPA Unila. The next agenda of the rector’s visit and the other delegates was to visit the innovation laboratory and high-tech factory, Infineon Regensburg.
Dr. Suripto pointed out that Unila and other state universities, such as ITB, UGM, USU, UB, ITK, ITS, UI, Unhas, and Itera have been highly committed themselves to establishing an Indonesian semiconductor consortium as a response to the government’s policy on the LPDP scholarship priority for the advancement of industrial technology.
This should be the key to Indonesia’s success in economic growth and the path to Indonesia’s short-term golden ideals.
LPDP provides students and lecturers with abundant funds to pursue their higher degrees either in home universities or overseas so that the human development index of Indonesian people necessarily rises. [PR Team]
