(Unila): Lampung University (Unila) officially accepted and inaugurated The Gade Creative Lounge (TGCL) from PT Pegadaian on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in the Hall of the Student Center Building of the local Faculty of Economics and Business.
This activity became a momentum for strengthening collaboration between the world of higher education and industry in supporting the development of student creativity and entrepreneurship.
The inauguration and handover of TGCL was opened by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems of Unila, Prof. Dr. Ayi Ahadiat, S.E., M.B.A. Also present were the Head of BPKHM, the Vice Deans for Academic and Cooperation Affairs, and the heads of the faculty administration.
Meanwhile, representatives from PT. Pegadaian were present, namely the Director of Marketing, Sales, and Product Development of PT Pegadaian, Selfie Dewiyanti, the Regional Head of Regional Office III Palembang, Novryandi, the Deputy Business Area Lampung, Lenny Fetresia Siregar, and the Deputy Operations, Syafril Hakim.
In his speech, Prof. Ayi said that the inauguration of The Gade Creative Lounge was an important moment for Unila in strengthening the ecosystem of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship, especially for students and the younger generation.
TGCL is not only a physical space, but also a space for collaboration, innovation, and the growth of creative ideas that are productive and valuable to society. He also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to PT. Pegadaian for the synergy and trust given to Unila.
This collaboration is considered to be in line with Unila’s commitment to supporting the development of superior, adaptive, and competitive human resources, while encouraging the emergence of creative, innovative, and characterful young entrepreneurs.
The existence of The Gade Creative Lounge on campus is expected to be optimally utilized as a center for creative activities, idea incubation, academic and business discussions, and the development of the potential of interdisciplinary students.
TGCL is expected to be an inclusive, productive, and sustainable space, capable of making a real contribution to the academic community and the wider community.
Through this handover ceremony, Unila expresses its commitment to maintain, manage, and utilize the facilities of The Gade Creative Lounge to the best of its ability.
The management of TGCL will be integrated with the implementation of the three pillars of higher education, particularly in strengthening entrepreneurship, student innovation, and the development of partnership networks with the industrial world.
The inauguration ceremony also featured a presentation session moderated by Dr. Usep Syaipudin, S.E., M.S.Ak., with speakers from the Vice Rector for PKSI Unila and PT. Pegadaian.
The discussion emphasized the importance of ongoing collaboration between universities and industry in creating creative spaces that have a direct impact on strengthening student capacity.
