Leadership in student organizations is considered a valuable learning space, where integrity is tested, commitment is built, and leadership capacity is forged.

Student organizations are considered to have a strategic role in supporting the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI), especially KPI 3 which is related to student achievement.

Student achievement is an important indicator in determining Unila’s reputation and position at the national level because if Unila aim a position as a top ten university , then student achievement is no longer an option, but a necessity.

“If we aim to bring the University of Lampung into the Top Ten Universities, then student achievement is no longer an option, but a necessity. National and international achievement must become a culture. Every student organization work program must be designed with clear, measurable outcomes and impact on improving the achievement of the 3rd IKU,” said Prof. Sunyono.

As a form of commitment to improving program quality and contributing to achievement, in 2026 all Student Organizations are required to submit sub-proposals for the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa).

This year, the maximum funding request is Rp30,000,000 per subproposal. This opportunity is expected to be optimally utilized to design innovative, sustainable, and nationally competitive community service and empowerment programs.

The Directorate of Student Affairs will provide assistance so that the submitted proposals meet standards and are able to compete nationally.

The 34 student organizations that were inaugurated are expected to be able to build cross-organizational and cross-faculty collaboration, develop student innovation and entrepreneurship, and manage the organizations professionally, accountably, and with real impact.

Prof. Dr. Sunyono, M.Si., emphasized in his closing remarks that a superior campus is not born from individual work, but rather from collective synergy between university leaders, faculty, supervisors, and students with a shared vision.

With a spirit of collaboration, discipline, and a champion mentality, the University of Lampung is believed to be increasingly respected and achieve the best position at the national level.

The official inauguration was marked by a statement from the 2026 inauguration of the University of Lampung Student Organization management. The administrators who have received the mandate are expected to carry out their duties with full responsibility, integrity, and dedication for the glory of their beloved alma mater. [Muzamil Kakar]
