(Unila): The University of Lampung (Unila) has once again held the Student Achievement Selection (Pilmapres) at the university level for the year 2026.
This event took place in the Auditorium of Building B at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) on Thursday, 2 April 2026, providing a platform for the university’s top students to showcase their ideas, innovations, as well as their academic and non-academic achievements.
Twelve outstanding students participated in the university-level selection, comprising eight undergraduate students and four diploma students. They represented various faculties at Unila, having previously secured first place in the faculty-level Pilmapres selection.
The event was attended by Unila’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Lusmeilia Afriani, D.E.A., IPM., the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof. Dr. Sunyono, M.Si., the head of the academic division, deans for student affairs and alumni, the judging panel, and the participating students.
In her speech, Rector Prof. Lusmeilia Afriani expressed appreciation to the participants who represented their respective faculties. She emphasised that each participant was the best student from their faculty.
“Not being selected at the university level does not imply that you are not the best. You remain the best students from your respective faculties,” she stated. She also extended her gratitude to the supervising lecturers and the judging panel for their roles in the selection process, hoping that this event would produce the best representatives of Unila to compete at the national level.
According to her, Pilmapres is not merely a competition, but also a forum for students to demonstrate their capacities, both academically and non-academically. Through this event, students are encouraged to develop innovative ideas and make tangible contributions to society.
The Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof. Sunyono, also motivated the participants. He emphasised that Pilmapres is a journey to hone one’s potential and the courage to express ideas.
“The Student Achievement Selection is not just a competition. It is a stage for great ideas and a space for the courage to present oneself. Regardless of today’s results, you are all champions,” he remarked.
The Pilmapres selection included several assessment components, namely outstanding achievements, innovative products, scientific writings or constructive ideas, presentations, and English language proficiency through video or direct presentations.
For the diploma programme, the assessment components comprised outstanding achievements at 40 per cent, innovative products at 40 per cent, and English language proficiency at 20 per cent.
Meanwhile, for the undergraduate programme, the assessment included outstanding achievements at 35 per cent, constructive ideas at 35 per cent, and English language proficiency at 30 per cent.
Following the presentation process and the judging panel’s assessment, the winners of Pilmapres Unila 2026 were announced. In the undergraduate programme, the first place was awarded to Deni Kurniawan (Faculty of Law) with a total score of 130.04.
The second place was secured by Maureen Cahayli (Faculty of Economics and Business) with a score of 128.04, followed by Vika Aulia Royani (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences) in third place with a score of 127.95.
The fourth place was awarded to M. Zuruki (Faculty of Engineering) with a score of 117.45, and the fifth place went to Amar Ageng Kurniawan (FKIP) with a score of 110.54.
Subsequently, the sixth place was achieved by Jihan Siti Muthmainah (Faculty of Health) with a score of 98.68, the seventh place by Dinal Azmi (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences) with a score of 85.56, and the eighth place by Muhammad Hibban Fadlurrohman Ayyasy (Faculty of Agriculture) with a score of 82.05.
In the diploma programme, the first place was awarded to Luthfia Zahra Delfi (Faculty of Economics and Business) with a score of 66.51.
The second place was secured by Fira Agustina Nur Rahma (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences) with a score of 55.67, the third place went to Nayla Sin Fathimah (Faculty of Engineering) with a score of 47.88, and the fourth place was awarded to Hasna Lailatul Karimah (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences) with a score of 55.55.
In concluding the event, Rector Prof. Lusmeilia Afriani expressed her hope that the results of this year’s Pilmapres selection would motivate students to continue developing their ideas and innovations to a broader level.
“I hope the representatives of Unila can advance to the national level. Continue to develop proposals with the brilliant ideas you possess, even to the extent of achieving accolades at the international level,” she stated.
Pilmapres Unila 2026 not only serves as a selection platform for the best students but also provides a nurturing space for the younger generation on campus to think big, create, and uphold the university’s reputation at both national and international levels. [Gandhi Irawan]
