(Unila): On February 16, 2023, The University of Lampung (Unila) hosted workshop on “Tips for Writing Reputable International Publications and Research Books” at Emersia Hotel, Bandar Lampung. The workshop was officially opened by Prof. Lusmeilia Afriani, Rector of Unila.
Prof. Lusmeilia stated in her remarks that the purpose of the activity was to encourage authors or researchers to publish their work on a global scale.
According to her, so far the number of research findings published in reputable international journals or in the form of research books is deemed to be quite modest in that the findings were not widely informed to user communities.
Thus, she suggested that the findings of studies or scientific articles should be published particularly to users so that they could shortly access the research findings which are necessarily beneficial for them.
She said that improving the quality and quantity of publications was necessarily made as one of the efforts to increase the competitiveness of universities.
Prof. Ag. Bambang Setyadi and Prof. Cipta Ginting were acting as the resource persons in this activity. The activity was also attended by acting chairman of center for research and Community Service, (LPPM), Dr. Rudy and other top management at LPPM Unila, as well as participants from UNILA and other state and private universities (PTN and PTS) in Bandar Lampung.
