(Unila): The University of Lampung (Unila) held a friendly match with the theme “Happy Tennis”, at the Unila Tennis Court, Friday, January 23, 2026. This activity was a means of friendship and strengthening institutional relations between Unila and the Metro City Government (Pemkot).
The event was attended by Unila Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Lusmeilia Afriani, DEA, IPM., ASEAN Eng., Metro Mayor Iman Santoso, S.Sos., M.Pd.I., vice Rector, high-ranking officials within the Metro City Government, Bureau Heads, Deans, and Vice Deans within Unila.
In her remarks, the Rektor expressed her hope that collaboration between Unila and the Metro City Government would continue and be enhanced in various fields, particularly education, research, and community service.
The Rector also emphasized the importance of sports as a means of building togetherness, communication, and positive spirit between agencies. The Mayor of Metro also expressed his hope that the good relationship and friendship between the Metro City Government and Unila would continue.
He also expressed his appreciation for the holding of this friendly match as a manifestation of togetherness and harmonious synergy.
On that occasion, the Mayor of Metro also emphasized that the Metro City Government always pays attention to students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) at Unila Metro Campus, both in terms of academic aspects and support for a conducive educational environment.
The “Happy Tennis” friendly match took place in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, filled with camaraderie and a spirit of sportsmanship. It is hoped that this activity will become a regular event, strengthening the synergy and cooperation between Unila and the Metro City Government. [Muzamil Kakar]
