(Unila): Rector of the University of Lampung, Prof. Hasriadi Mat Akin, officially opened the Training of Internal Quality Audit (AMI) which was held for 10 Private Universities and Colleges (PTS) in Bandarlampung, Peringsewu, and Metro.
The advanced training program for the document preparation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) initiated by Institute for Education Development and Quality Assurance (LP3M) Unila lasted for three days in Rectorate Hall floor 4, Unila, Wednesday-Friday (26-28/6/2019).
The Chief Executive of the Program, Priyambodo, conveyed, “Unila invited 40 participants at each of the foster PTS. The participants in this training, then, will be trained with several skills related to the implementation of an audit. Among the used methods are lectures, group discussions, and audit simulations. While the participants at the end of the training will also submit assignments as well as present them.”
If the participant meets the requirements, he said, he will get a certificate of training as a participant and internal auditor. Besides, the participants who passed as the internal auditors will be a motor in the development of SPMI and internal audits in each PTS.
The Rector of Unila, explained that the measurement of a study program is its accreditation. In attaining the eminent accreditation, the quality assurance process must be carried out consistently. “Quality audit is a systemic effort,” said Hasriadi.
Moreover, Unila places the Quality Assurance as the university milestone to become a world-class university. After reaching accreditation A, Unila, then, is committed to pursuing international accreditation in years to come.
Therefore, he continued, quality standards in each university requires to be implemented and monitored so that they are more ready and easier when re-accreditation will be carried out. “So do not wait for five years!” he closed.[PR Team]
