(Unila): The Electrical Engineering Department (JTE), the University of Lampung (Unila) sent two teams to compete in the electrical talk show and exhibition (E-Action), a national activity of the Electrical Engineering Department, Sriwijaya University, 28-30 October 2022.
There were two delegates participating in the competition, the navigation and the PST sensor teams. Aqil Jado Fahrend was appointed the chairman of the former with team members, Alif Rahmatulillah, Murti, M.Q. Najmi Abdillah, M. Rafly Assidiqi, and Fiddy Mafirotun Ahyat and Rafly Rahmat Dani was elected the Chairman of the latter with team members, Dery Irawan, Rafi Ramadhan, A.M. Haikal Fakari, Muhammad Imam Fauzi, and Fadillah Ikhsan, the majority of whom are Unila’s 2019 Electrical Engineering students.
The navigation team promoted a kiosk navigation system in the form of a web-based virtual reality tour at the Lampung Museum, as a digital technology that provides an interesting experience in making virtual visits at the Lampung Museum. The Lampung Museum was among 17 museums provided with virtual tour services from 439 museums in Indonesia.
Unlike the navigation team, the PST sensor team designed a security system making use of a PIR sensor with a wemos D1 R2 microcontroller based on the Blynk application at the Lampung Museum.
The system necessarily enables the museum to monitor valuable historical objects from distance through sensors provided with alarms. The navigation and the PST sensor teams won the gold and the bronze medals respectively. The two winning awards were announced at a celebration ceremony held at Sriwijaya University, Saturday, October 29, 2022.
