(Unila): Chancellor of the University of Lampung (Unila) Prof. Lusmeilia Afriani made an academic visit to the Faculty of Engineering (FT) for friendship and consolidation, Thursday, April 27, 2023.
She was accompanied on the visit by the chair of the senate, the vice-chancellors, the head of the SPI, the postgraduate director, the heads of bureaus, and the heads of institutions on campus.
The Chancellor of Unila gave some messages and directions at a meeting with faculty top officials, lecturers, and education employees.
On the occasion, she put the emphasis on no Scopus-indexed journals currently managed by the faculty so far. She asked journal administrators to have the journals indexed by Scopus in the near future and LPPM Unila necessarily facilitates the faculty to proceed to the Scopus-Index Journal.
As reported, the Faculty of Agriculture currently has two Scopus-indexed journals.
Furthermore, the Chancellor of Unila asked the heads of department, the study program , and professors to remind students taking 36 credits or in semester 9 to apply for tuition fee reduction (UKT).
He stressed that students have the right to pay half of their UKT. Prof. Lusmeilia’s goal also conveys the message that FT should focus not only on international accreditation, but also on providing assistance for study programs with accreditation B, hopping that every single study program needs to be accredited A in the future and FT can get superior and international accreditation.
This academic visit was carried out to establish friendship with the academic community in the faculties and see the progress of academic activities in each work unit.
In addition, this visit is part of the Chancellor’s and team’s 100-day work program was completed on April 28, 2023.
